The regular was held starting at 6:00 p.m.
The high school Student Council president updated the board on upcoming activities:
The Student Council is currently planning a spirit week that is just for fun, not competition. The SnowFest theme this year is “biomes,” and hallway decorating will be the weekend of Jan. 24-25. He-Man Volleyball will be on Jan. 28, and the pep assembly will be on Jan. 30. The SnowFest dance will be on Saturday, Jan. 31.
Superintendent Bergstrom presented “Superintendent Spotlight” certificates to students throughout the district who have shown outstanding effort this school year.
The November 2025 meeting minutes and treasurer’s report were approved with no changes.
There were no public comments.
Mrs. Davis-Green and Mrs. Iseler presented an overview of the district’s virtual program, dual enrollment, and early college program to the board. They explained each program’s advantages and how they serve students in different capacities. They also outlined the outcomes of each program.
The board approved the second reading of NEOLA Vol. 40, No. 1 – Nondiscrimination – September 2025 and NEOLA Vol. 40, No. 1 – September 2025 policy updates.
A resolution was adopted to opt in to the 31aa Mental Health and Safety grant. This is a revision of the resolution passed last month to opt out of this money. The revised resolution was based on guidance from legal counsel and the MASA because of an on-going court case that should be decided on December 19. The resolution gives the district the option to rescind their decision up to December 30, 2025.
