Welcome to Hanover-Horton School District where we are creating a better world, one student at a time.
At Hanover-Horton, we are committed to academic excellence. Our graduating class of 2021 had nearly 50% graduate with at least a 3.0 GPA. As a group, they qualified for approximately $750,000 in scholarships and grants. Our high school offers students the opportunity to take college and Advanced Placement courses, participate in our engineering classes and choose from a wide variety of elective courses. Hanover-Horton High School has consistently scored among the areas best on the ACT and SAT for several years in a row!
Hanover-Horton Middle School has shown consistent gains on recent state tests. Students are able to take classes in engineering, art, computers, health and more! We have programs in place to support the struggling learner during the school day and after school.
Hanover-Horton Elementary School offers four specials to our students: gym, music, technology and Story Time. We have a building wide intervention program to help all students reach their full potential. Our Nite-Lights program is a six-week enrichment opportunity offered after school where students experience activities ranging from baking, crafts, floor hockey, technology and many more.
Hanover-Horton School District’s extra-curricular programming is easily one of the best in the area! Our athletic teams are very successful. Our teams have recently won multiple championships at all levels. We have a remarkable band program which begins in the 5th grade. In 6th grade students are able to begin taking choir. The marching band regularly performs at Disney World and our jazz band has performed in New York City. Local art exhibits regularly feature the amazing works of our art students. Whatever activity your student is interested in, odds are we have a program that will meet it.
Hanover-Horton has a small town feel with endless support from our community. Our community constantly shows support of our athletic teams, helps to pass bonds and a variety of community members volunteer their time in our classrooms. The community is a huge asset to our success!
